FEMS grant for Early Career Scientists
This meeting is selected by the Federation of European Microbiological Societies (FEMS) to offer grants for event participation for Early Career Scientists*.
Eligibility
To apply for this grant, you would need to meet following requirements:
- be a member of a FEMS Member Society* or be recommended by such a member
- be an Early Career Scientist**
- be an Active Microbiologist
- be presenting author at the meeting (oral or poster)

**These are active microbiologists who obtained the highest academic degree - Bachelor, Master or PhD
- less than five years prior to the application deadline date, or are a Master or PhD student. Periods of maternity/paternity leave, special leave or illness do not count toward this definition
Application process
If you wish to receive a grant for Early Career Scientists sponsored by FEMS, you must inform about it during registration (registration form here), and the required documents must be sent together with the abstract (click here)
Application should contain the confirmation of membership in a microbiological society and proof of registration at the conference, short CV containing confirmation of the status of a young scientist, and abstract of oral or poster presentation at International 9th International R. Weigl Conference.
The grant will include waiving the costs of the registration fee and providing accommodation in a student dormitory.
Deadline for FEMS grant application is April, 30. The awardees will be informed on May 15 at latest.
